In December 2022 PressCise innovative Lundatex® compression products were selected to be on Life Science Sweden's innovation list, among a selection of “trail blazers”. The selected products are based on Swedish technology developed in the last half century, aiming to improve people’s health.

The following text is a translation of the announcement published on Life Science Sweden's website:

“Lundatex® compression products, such as bandages, stockings and compression systems, are primarily used to treat venous and lymphatic leg diseases, such as hard-to-heal leg ulcers. The idea to develop a "smart bandage" came from Erney Mattsson, professor of vascular surgery at Sahlgrenska Academy the faculty of medicine at the University of Gothenburg, and Torbjörn Lundh, professor of mathematics at Chalmers University of Technology. Through the University of Textiles and Smart Textiles in Borås, they came into contact with the textile developer, Josefin Damm. Together, the three were able to develop the products that make it possible for healthcare professionals to apply bandages with the correct pressure.

The company PressCise, applied for its first patent in 2013 and since then, four additional products have been patented. The products are now being more frequently used, and have the potential to reach the global market – to the benefit of many patients.”
